Pattern - This is a term denoting a certain repeating pattern, you can also call it a sample, model, diagram or image. The concept came from the English "pattern" and translates, as an example, the form. Thanks to the pattern, an intermediary representation is created, with the help of which regularities are manifested in the mode of synchronization of the processes of perception and thinking, as well as the way they exist in the outside world, nature, and society.

A pattern is a repeating pattern or pattern whose components are repeated predictably. Patterns can be perceived differently, it depends on the organ of sensations by which they are felt.

There are various behavioral patterns. Examples of them can be seen in various spheres of life: from early washings to special professional ones.

Pattern what is it

The concept of a pattern has a wide range of its application. For example, it is found in such sciences as psychology, physics, computer science, and is also often used in design, music, and art. Such a pattern of behavior is reproduced automatically by a person in the process of interaction with the outside world. Daily behavior patterns are examples: morning washings, greetings, table behavior, and the way to answer calls.

In psychology, the pattern is called the paradigm of behavior, peculiar to a person in any situations and circumstances.

In science, particularly in mathematics and linguistics, patterns can be identified through research. With the help of direct observation it is possible to reveal how visual patterns are formed in art and in nature. In nature, they are most often chaotic, are fractal and are not capable of copying each other, occur in the form of spirals, waves, foams or cracks, are created using the phenomenon of symmetry and reflection.

Such patterns include a mathematically delineated structure, expressed through formulas. By itself, mathematics is a way to search for regularities, and every final product from the use of functions is a mathematical pattern.

The process of research and forecasting by scientific theories, at the same time existing regularities in nature and society, is a process of identifying patterns.

In architecture, design and art in order to obtain a certain stable impact, decorations and a variety of visual elements can be combined and repeated, creating images and models. Design patterns in computer science are a frequently used solution to a wide range of programming problems.

In medical sciences, a pattern is perceived as a stable combination of research results or other signs, symptoms, with similar complaints from a patient or patients with a single nosology. So, the pattern consists of several symptoms, signs. The syndrome, in turn, includes one or a couple of patterns. A syndrome or several syndromes make up the disease.

Patterns have characteristic properties: they are a permanent category that is easy to identify. They repeat all the time; are unconsciously created algorithms that, as a rule, are very difficult to correct. They are able to manifest fully or partially. If it is detected partially, then it is called a code. For example, a person heard an excerpt from a song, and before his eyes immediately displayed pictures from a certain impressive situation from the past, he is captured by the emotions and memories that are associated with it. Thus, the melody was the code whose pronunciation started the whole pattern.

The innate pattern is the starting point, the initial pattern on which others are layered. Such combinations of patterns are combined with stereotypes, habits and values of a person, forming his character and way of life. Therefore, such patterns always interact and cannot exist separately.

Personality is always in development, gaining experience, knowledge, self-improvement. And along with the development of the personality, there is a transformation of its patterns, they improve or change the form of expression. You can demonstrate an example of such a modification in the experience of a man who is used to living a bachelor life, but realizing that you need to change this way of life and get a family, still continues to express some behavioral patterns. Individual habits, preserved from the bachelor life, may haunt a person for some time. For example, the desire to have their own independent personal space, and spend time alone or with friends, with which, for example, the wife may not agree. After a while, this can pass, the action of such a pattern will weaken, and the man will get used to the fact that he is now no longer one and should devote himself to his family.

Pattern in psychology

Psychological pattern displays a stable model of behavior of individuals. Such behavioral patterns can be seen by observing the people around you. Everyone behaves in different circumstances in different ways, but still, each individual adheres to his own style.

If you trace some patterns of behavior, you can more easily communicate with others. Studying the behavioral patterns of other people, a person begins to understand what to expect from them, or to act in relation to these individuals, knowing in advance what kind of reaction is to be expected.

For example, if a person is taciturn by nature, rather reserved, and prefers to spend his free time alone or the company of one friend, then naturally he will feel very embarrassed in a large company and may even be offended if he were dragged into a large and a noisy company, to a party where everyone is having fun and getting to know each other.

It is necessary to leave the interests of a person in order to predict what reaction he may have, respectively, to act so that no one is offended. Watching how the patterns of behavior of people manifest and change is a very useful and interesting activity.

In psychology, there is such a type of pattern as hypnotic - these are special recurring verbal formulas with the help of which a person can be immersed in a hypnotic trance state. It may happen that a person does not even guess that he was plunged into hypnosis. This method is widely used in NLP, as well as competent manipulators are well versed in them for selfish purposes.

If a person has such situations in which he experiences difficulties in interacting with the outside world, he seeks help from a psychologist. Having said everything that has become painful, having passed a certain number of tests, the client can often hear from a psychologist that the matter lies in his negative behavior pattern. In the future, the client is assigned a course of psycho-correction.

Behavior patterns

Naturally, not all human habits, stereotypes and behaviors in society are comfortable and positive. Some patterns of behavior of people greatly interfere with their normal life. For example, there is such a type of people who are very afraid of difficulties and who are being avoided in relation to them. There is also the opposite type of people who are simply fanatically inclined to search for difficulties, respectively, they often fall into situations with negative consequences.

Both presented types have negative behaviors that only interfere with life and contribute to the accumulation of negative experiences. With such patterns of behavior you can fight, even necessary, but it is not always simple enough. It is much easier to change something when the cause of the problems is clearly visible and when a person understands what internal resources and potential he has.

Thanks to positive and comfortable patterns of behavior, a person can harmoniously develop and cope with difficulties. Their range extends from shaking hands after washing to the ability to seek compromises.

The person himself is able to choose those patterns or strategies of behavior that he is better to use. For someone, these are self-destructive patterns, for someone it is better to use manipulative patterns, while others prefer the model of confident behavior.

Leadership patterns deserve separate consideration. A leader is a person on whom everyone wants to be equal, therefore his model of behavior reflects his essence, his character and the authority of the leader in a certain group depends on it.

Leadership can be assessed if you directly monitor successful leaders, in particular those who are responsible for the entire organization. Such people should be aware of the real state of affairs and evaluate relations as a result of the interaction of their life experience, borrowing patterns from other managers and theoretical knowledge in the field of management and work organization. The manifestation of such phenomena over time can be viewed as a repetition of patterns of behavior. It is these patterns that ensure the effectiveness of a certain leader.

Leader's behavior patterns reflect those qualities of a leader that each subordinate wants to master.

Examples of leadership qualities that are displayed in an effective behavior model:

- leaders stimulate and apply self-organizing processes;

- independently acquire the necessary information;

- use models or templates for the purpose, a simplified display of reality;

- used in the creative process of the case;

- develop special necessary states and strategies for access to subconscious processes;

- think systemically, not mechanically;

- operate with dynamic models;

- concentrate on "deep processes" as opposed to "surface processes";

- present their ideas in the form of schemes, maps, formal external systems;

- their ideas correspond to the level of their knowledge.
