Pedantry - This is a characteristic of the personality, which is manifested in the excessively precise observance of the rules, accuracy in the performance of affairs and in everyday life, scrupulousness and following trifles. This is the desire to maintain the established course of things, accepted formal norms. Pedantry can have a mild degree of manifestation, which helps a person to socialize favorably in society, following his rules, and can be supernormal, acting as a symptom of neuropsychiatric disorders (anankast) and reduced to obsessive ideas.
Pedantry in work is most often caused by conscious decisions that are motivated by calculating rationality and the desire to receive the maximum amount of benefits from the working environment (manifested in high quality work and meeting deadlines). The distinction between the high level of pedantry in work and the painful high level is the awareness of aspirations and the presence of strong experiences (there are no long and painful experiences in the work pedantry, whereas they are intrusive in a painful form).
