What is a fiasco

The history of the origin of the word fiasco goes to ancient Italy in the small town of Florence.

The meaning of the word fiasco in Italian is literally nothing more than a two-liter bottle. Only women of easy virtue wore this bottle; it (the bottle) was supposed to be decorated with hay. Now this term is used in a figurative sense, to a large extent as a phraseological unit meaning failure. There is such a designation as a fiasco of the government, which means a certain situation in which the resources of the state are used inefficiently; the politicians of this state are responsible for this action.

There are several types of such collapse or damage:

- an inefficient state: a flaw in the institution of information, the result is an imperfect notification of politicians about the needs of the public

- a weak state: the inability of the political apparatus to control and regulate the response of the private sector;

- unlimited state: excessive interference of the government apparatus in the economic sector, which pulls the complication of social welfare. At the same time, an increased level of corruption and misinformation of the political apparatus are often observed. Figuratively speaking, if politicians have the opportunity to introduce any law, this behavior denotes the lack of authority over the politicians themselves. Therefore, an adequate approach to the issues of state intervention in economic activities should be respected. All actions of the state in the direction of changing the strength of the impact on the economy should have a strong argument.

The fiasco of the state is a consequence of the assistance of the government, which it provides to solve the fiasco of the market. According to the circumstances, the state, embodying concrete measures to eliminate the market fiasco, should control absolutely all the ensuing consequences, and regulate them in accordance with the specific economic and political situation in the state. Equally, a market fiasco is the occurrence of a situation in which market management mechanisms are not able to optimally allocate available resources and ensure their fair and effective use. According to this, the role of the state government during the fiasco of the market is the regulation and correction of market failures. In economics, this situation can manifest itself in various forms, as a rule, this presupposes the existence of various forms of government intervention in the management and liquidation of market fiasco.

There is a directly proportional relationship between the market and the state, so if the construction industry of the market has failed, then the government takes measures to correct and solve this problem. Ineffective situations, the impact of which leads to a fiasco of the market, distinguish four types: monopoly, external influence, asymmetric information, and public goods.

Analyzing the above information we can conclude that not only a specific person is capable of a fiasco in his undertakings or life situations, but also large institutions, which include a huge number of subjects and objects.

What does it mean to be a fiasco

A large number of individuals in the conversation used the phrase "to suffer a fiasco" or, as is often said, the subject suffered a "complete fiasco." Using this formulation in ordinary conversations, a person does not often think about its real and deep meaning. For an adequate perception of the essence of the presented idiom it is worth a little to analyze the meaning of both words.

As for the word “suffer”, in the dictionary it has the designation - to experience something, to experience a situation or to become a victim of something. The meaning of the word fiasco - bottle, we have already mentioned in this article. Obviously, according to this idiom "to be a fiasco" literally translates to how to experience a bottle, but in this way it is not used. This expression has acquired its direct meaning in ancient Italy in the town of Florence. In that period, street performers who showed various performances on any subject enjoyed great popularity. In the nineteenth century in this town in the comedy genre was the well-known Bianconelli. The comedian liked to perform on the stage with everyday objects: a hat, a chair, clothes, a cane, over which he joked. One day he stepped onto the stage, holding “fiasco” in his hands - a bottle worn by women of easy virtue, which intrigued the audience. Bianconelli strongly joked at her, but not a single joke made the audience laugh. Then the comedian with a roar threw the bottle on the ground and shouted loudly: "damn you, it's your fault - a fiasco." Such an expression, intrigued the public and eventually gained immense popularity among the people. From the time when failure happened, the people used to say: "This is all a Bianconelli fiasco."

The growing trade in Italy attracted a huge number of people from other countries, hearing the expression “be fiasco”, they used it at home in their native land. In this case, over time, the name of the comedian actor was forgotten, and this expression itself meant failure, failure, being used not only in stage affairs, but also in everyday life.

Taking into account the above, it turns out that the use of idioms fiasco in the modern world is used to denote the experience of failure.

How to stop fearing a fiasco - tips:

- when starting a new business, try to always tune in for success, because a positive attitude is at least fifty percent on the way to successful activity;

- one should never exaggerate the significance of failures; if this happens, it will not be a global catastrophe;

- do not be afraid to miss, even the slightest mistake is an invaluable life experience from which you can learn the most useful lessons;

- if something went wrong, you should not get depressed, pay attention to the positive sparks in any direction of your life;

- try to realize every, even the slightest victory, on the way to the established goal, celebrate even a meager victory;

- sensibly assess your capabilities, do not plan an action that causes doubt. When completing the assigned tasks, do not force events using supercomplicated strategies, determine for yourself the tactics of confident, small steps;

- all losses and gains are very conditional concepts. Today, having lost a purse with money, you can understand that you have much more: a family, a job, a house, and you can earn money;

- and remember, if you have failed, do not blame others, for starters, understand yourself where and when you actually took a step in the wrong direction.

Each subject can be defeated, regardless of the act or the magnitude of the goal. The fiasco entails subjective consequences. Someone perceives this as a life lesson, changes their outlook, seeks to solve the problems that followed it. A different person acquires a depressive state leading to psychological changes. Each person can learn to manage their own resources to perform their life tasks, adequately assess all their failures, perceive each failure as a step on the path to development. Even to suffer a "complete fiasco" does not mean losing everything, it is a chance to change yourself.
