Snobbery is in simple words excessive arrogance and pride in its exceptional position (actual, ideal or pretended), implying admiration for the way of life and manners that are a reflection of a person’s own aspirations. This concept can reflect the high intelligence of a person, his exceptionally refined taste, deserved authority and respect in certain circles, but with the amendment that he will tell about all these achievements himself, and not wait until others notice it.

Snobbery always betrays the incompatibility of a person with a particular structure or society. Often this is how loud scandals arise with famous personalities who were accidentally spotted in an inappropriate place or for an unworthy occupation regarding the image that they carefully created.

The importance of feeling one’s life fades into the background, as does the search for one’s true purpose. For a snob, the main thing is to create a favorable external image and carefully maintain it - happiness, confidence, and well-being are also not so much sensual categories as moments to supplement the necessary image.
